Joint Donor Learning

Denmark is a member of the Joint Donors’ Competence Development Network also referred to as Train4Dev.

The network comprises over 25 bilateral donors and multilateral development agencies and has as its objective “to promote improved aid effectiveness for poverty reduction through enhanced donor co-operation in the field of competence development and training”. The Network uses the Paris Declaration and the Accra Action Agenda as starting points in defining its priorities.

The primary target group is donor staff from the Train4Dev members and other donors and development agencies working at country and headquarters levels. Increasingly developing country government partner staff and representatives of civil society and the private sector also participate in joint learning events, where relevant.
