For families going to posts in Europe (incl. Turkey but excl. Russia) and North America (incl. Mexico), and where the prior vacancy advertisement does not indicate that a residence is linked to the position, leases for official residences are taken up by the posted staff themselves.
In this connection, it is possible to obtain a paid visit of inspection to the post prior to commencement of service. The journey is to be booked with Carlson Wagonlit and will be paid by HR/Udeteam. For staff on and above salary grade 37, the special conditions regarding their residence imply that no visit of inspection will be paid.
For posts in Europe expenditure on discount economy class travel will be reimbursed together with up to three hotel nights for the posted staff member and one other member of the accompanying household as well as the usual per diem allowance for up to four days.
For posts in North America, expenditure on discount economy class travel will be reimbursed together with up to five hotel nights for the posted staff member and one other member of the accompanying household as well as the usual per diem allowance for up to six days.
Residences in Europe (incl. Turkey, but excl. Russia) and North America (Canada, USA and Mexico) must today be rented and furnished by posted staff members themselves.
For this purpose, SEK/Ejendom announces an individually calculated housing expenditure framework for the staff member’s rent and operating expenses based on the number of accompanying children entitled to location allowance.
All special attachés, sector experts, programme coordinators at management units as well as other staff employed/posted on a fixed-term basis must furnish their residences themselves.
