Danida Market Development Partnerships (DMDP) programme is a business instrument with a total budget of DKK 340 million for the period 2016-2020. The DMDP aims to promote broad, commercially oriented partnerships that help develop markets and promote local economic growth and employment in developing countries. DMDP partnerships combine knowledge, solutions and resources from companies, civil society organizations, business organizations, authorities and other relevant non-commercial partners. A DMDP partnership project must be based on a business idea driven by one or more companies who deliver sus-tainable business. Designed as a challenge fund, DMDP holds annual application rounds. The DMDP portfolio currently consists of 20 partnership projects. With the foreseen allocations in 2019 and 2020, the DMDP portfolio is expected to grow to a total of 40-50 projects.

The mid-term review will assess the overall DMDP programme as well as the specific partnerships supported with regard to relevance, efficiency, effectiveness, sustainability and possible wider impact. The review will assess the implementation status and overall progress and achievements of DMDP, identify implementation challenges and developments in key risks factors, assess the adequacy of management structure and process at programme and project level and provide recommendations for programme adjustments if needed.

The mid-term review will be conducted between March and June 2019.

MFA seeks the services of an International Consultant that will be recruited by the Danish MFA in accordance with the procedures for standard requests for proposals for consultancy services. The assignment has been estimated to require two (2) consultants with each providing input of 32 working days or 64 days in total.

The budget ceiling for the consultancy is DKK 750.000.
