The B2B and B2B Environment Programmes have been replaced by Danida Business Partnerships
In 2011 the Business-to-Business Programme (B2B) and the B2B Environment Programme were replaced by the Danida Business Partnerships facility. No new applications are therefore accepted under the B2B and B2B Environment Programmes.
The following pages will focus on giving a general presentation of the B2B Programme and on providing the necessary tools, templates etc. for use by the B2B partners in ongoing projects.
Information on Danida Business Partnerships, including rules and guidelines for new applications, can be found on the Danida Business Partnerships website.
The Business-to-Business Programme (B2B) aims at developing the private sector in a range of Danida priority countries by supporting the establishment of long-term and mutually committing partnerships between Danish companies and companies in developing countries. The B2B Programme acts solely as a facilitator and does not function as the implementer of individual cooperation projects. The B2B Programme was open to all sectors of business and industry, as long as it was fair to assume that the proposed business co-operation would have a genuine development impact.
The B2B Programme offers support during the process of establishing and implementing a partnership. Usually, this extends over a few years and can be divided into three overall phases: A phase in which preliminary contacts are made, a phase where the concept for business cooperation is developed, and a phase in which the concept for business cooperation is implemented. The B2B Programme offers support to companies in all three phases.
The B2B Programme encompassed the following countries: Bangladesh, Benin, Bhutan, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, China, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Nepal, Nicaragua, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Vietnam, and Zambia.
The B2B Environment Programme supports partnerships investing in environmental projects in Indonesia. B2B Environment was until mid-2010 also available in China.
The B2B Environment Programme supports the transfer of cutting-edge Danish environmental expertise and technology to Indonesia through long-term business partnerships between Danish companies and local companies.
B2B Environment offers support to identify potential partners, formulate and develop business plans, test pilot projects and finalize long-term business cooperation agreements. The development objective is to facilitate the transfer of Danish cutting-edge environmental know-how and technology to benefit economic and social development, whilst countering the negative environmental impact of rapid industrial growth.
The focus for B2B Environment in Indonesia is on renewable energy and energy efficiency, water supply and treatment, and solid waste management, reflecting national priorities and Danish core competencies.
More information on the B2B Programme can be found in the B2B Company Guidelines which can be downloaded from the box on the right side on the page.
In the B2B Toolbox the B2B partners can find relevant templates and supporting documents.
