Information regarding goals.
The international community has adopted some general goals for how far development in the poorest countries should have reached by 2015. Denmark also backs these up.
Each time Denmark grants assistance to a developing country, a specific objective is set for what the development cooperation is to achieve. Stocktaking on the objective takes place once a year.
Danida’s Programme and Project Orientation (PPO) is a database with information on objective, results and the status on Danish development assistance. You can see goal fulfilment in the individual programmes here. The PPO is only available in Danish.
A large part of Danish development assistance focuses on contributing to the Millennium Development Goals. The United Nations conducts an annual stocktaking of world progress in achieving these goals. Therefore, the results of Denmark’s development assistance must be viewed in the light of the Millennium Development Goals.
