Ukraine-seminar in Bruxelles on 28 May 2018

 SamuelsenSpeech

On May 28 Foreign Minister Anders Samuelsen hosted a Ukraine-seminar in Brussels about reforms as building bricks for creating a resilient and prosperous Ukraine. The seminar was part of a set of events in the run-up to the Copenhagen Conference on June 27. The seminar facilitated a debate on a reform-topic which is not usually explored. In his speech, Foreign Minister Samuelsen highlighted the geopolitical backdrop of the reform-agenda, emphasizing the importance of strengthening Ukraine's resilience both externally and internally, as well as underlined impressive net benefits for the Ukrainian state finances of the reforms already undertaken by the Ukrainian Government.

The seminar was held in collaboration with the Think Tank European Policy Centre, and other speakers included the Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze and former President of the European Council, Herman Van Rompuy. The panelist included Peter Wagner from Support Group Ukraine, Anna Derevyanko from European Business Association and Olena Halushka from ANTAC.
