Denmark takes over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union on 1 January and today the Danish Minister of European Affairs, Nicolai Wammen, formally launched the webpage of the Presidency: eu2012.dk
The Danish Government met on 2 December with the European Parliaments so-called Conference of Presidents - the leaders of the political groups in the European Parliament. In many ways this heralds the start of the Danish EU presidency.
1 – 2 December Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt is to meet with the Conference of Presidents of the European Parliament, which consists of the political leaders of the European Parliament, including the President of Parliament and the chairmen of the political groups.
On 21st of November Nicolai Wammen hosted a meeting together with the Danish Minister for Development Cooperation in Copenhagen for the Members of the Diplomatic Community.
