The Embassy of Denmark recommends that you do not purchase a flight ticket before the visa has been issued.
The Embassy of Denmark is aware that there are individuals falsely claiming to cooperate with VFS Global. The Embassy would like to emphasise that these individuals have no affiliation with either the Embassy or VFS Global. It is therefore not recommended to accept assistance from individuals who approach you outside VFS Global’s premises in Tunisia.
Possession of a visa does not automatically grant the right of entry. Visa holders are requested to provide proof that they meet the entry conditions at the external border, cf. Article 5 of the Visa Code.
A visa entitles you to stay for a maximum of 90 days within a 180-day period in the Schengen area. It is up to you whether you wish to stay for 90 consecutive days or travel back and forth during the 180-day period. However, you may stay in the Schengen area for a maximum of 90 days within any 180-day period.
If you wish to travel to the Schengen area repeatedly within a two-month period, you must apply for a visa to the Schengen country that is your main destination. Your main destination is either the country where you expect to spend the longest amount of time or the country where the main purpose of your trip is expected to take place.
Please note that this visa does not entitle you to work in Denmark.
Visa fee through ApplyVisa (see the websites below). The applicant must: 1) register, 2) complete the application, 3) pay the fee, and 4) print and sign the receipt (cover letter). Please have your passport and credit card ready when applying for and paying for the visa.
Once you have submitted and paid for your visa application, you must print the cover letter from ApplyVisa and submit it, together with the required documents, to VFS Global.
The applicant will be notified in writing if their application is refused. Applicants whose applications have been refused have the right to appeal.
The visa application process for Greenland and the Faroe Islands is the same as for the Schengen area.
A single application is sufficient for a short-stay visa to the Faroe Islands, Greenland, or for a Schengen transit visa.
For all applications for a residence permit for the Faroe Islands, the procedure is to submit two separate applications. The first application will be for a long-stay visa, and once the residence permit has been granted by the Danish Immigration Service, you will be asked to apply for a Schengen transit visa.
