Removal of furniture/household effects

If you are about to return from a posting, you will be contacted by the MFA’s relocation services provider that is in charge of the removal of furniture/household effects. Contact with the relocation services provider will be established in the following manner:  

  1. The contact person in HR/Udeteam will initiate the removal on the relocation provider’s relocation portal, including information about the quota for furniture/household effects, present place of posting (home location), recall date, as well as contact information.
  2. The posted staff member will subsequently receive an e-mail with login information for the relocation portal on which some supplementary personal information is to be filled in after login.    
  1. When the information on the relocation portal has been filled in, the relocation services provider will contact you directly, and detailed planning of the move will be agreed directly between the relocation services provider and you.

You should check with local authorities in advance if there are limitations or special conditions that should be taken into consideration in connection with the export of furniture/household effects and goods. In particular, you should pay attention to whether the export permission from local authorities can be ready on the agreed removal date as it is often the Mission that must obtain this permission and NOT the relocation services provider’s local partner.

In case of damage during the relocation, both Tryg Forsikring – e-mail address: [email protected] or phone: +45 44 20 37 98 – as well as the MFA’s relocation services provider must be notified immediately and in writing about the nature and scope of the damage.
