Deadline for applications:  15 March 2016, at 17:00, Danish Time

Description:  The Governments of Kenya and Denmark jointly formulated and commissioned the Natural Resource Management Programme (NRMP) for implementation in the period 01 January 2010 to June 2016. The Programme is implemented through three components that address natural resources management (NRM) and climate change (CC). Among these components is component three which involves engagement of civil society and the private sector in the sustainable management of natural resources. This component is structured primarily as a competitive grant making mechanism, through which organized community groups receive funds to undertake their considered local priorities in NRM and CC. The Community Development Trust Fund (CDTF) has been the lead institution in implementing this civil society component. Within this currently active phase of funding from Denmark, CDTF has implemented a total of 64 projects - 40 projects in the area of natural resources management and 24 climate change projects. The total grant fund since 2010 is DKK 135 Million. Presently, 54 out of the 64 projects have been audited while audits for 10 projects are outstanding. These 10 projects are among the climate change projects under the CDTF NRMP component, whose implementation ended in October 2015. The purpose of this assignment is to commission individual audits for these projects so as to establish efficiency and effectiveness in the use of the funds among other things. The audits shall also consist of a value for money assessment. The assignment will take two months between March and May 2016, at an estimated cost of DKK 400,000.
