Restricted procedure: Communicate the Results of Denmark's Engagement in Northern Uganda

Deadline for applications: 4 November 2019, at 09:00, Danish time

Under the brand name “Danida”, Denmark has supported development in Uganda for decades, and in particular northern Uganda through the self-reliance strategy (1999-2003), successive phases of the DAR/RALNUC programmes (2004-2014) and the RDNUC programme (2014-2018). Denmark’s support to northern Uganda has mostly focussed on improving agricultural livelihoods for small-scale farmers. Denmark continues to support development in Uganda through the current Country Programme (2018-2022). The Northern Uganda Resilience Initiative (NURI) 2019-2022 is one of three engagements under the current thematic programme Uganda Programme on Sustainable and Inclusive Development of the Economy (UPSIDE).

The previous phase of the programme, the Recovery and Development in Northern Uganda Component of Danida’s U-Growth II programme (RDNUC) 2014-2018, was implemented in six districts (Arua, Nebbi, Zombo, Kitgum, Lamwo and Agago).

The overall objective of the Consultancy is to document and suggest ways to communicate the results and impact of Denmark’s past and present engagement in Northern Uganda covering:
• NURI (progress so far).

Using appropriate communication approaches, methods and media the focus should be on the Ugandan and Danish audience. The Consultancy is envisaged to have four phases: 1. Preparation and familiarisation of the subject matter, 2. Interviewing, filming and otherwise documenting, 3. Editing and delivery of draftproducts, 4. Finalisation and delivery of final products (photos, sound, music, subtitles, dissemination plan etc.)

The assignment is expected to start early November 2019 and final products as well as a presentation of same should be not later than early January 2019.

Deadline for applications: 4 November 2019, at 9:00, Danish time
