Jobs and skills

Job creation and inclusive sustainable growth is a prioritized area within Danish development cooperation. Higher employment and better jobs provide opportunities for higher incomes, which in turn provide opportunities for better education and health - and thus a better life.

The Minister for Development Cooperation, Rasmus Prehn, has chosen vocational education and job creation as a special area of attention. You can see more information about the content of the initiative below.

On 30 September 2020, a White Paper on Skills Development and Job Creation was launched (se also press release). You can watch the streaming of the event here (in Danish)

At the launch, the Minister announced a Call for Proposal for Danish organizations on projects regarding skilled workers in Africa. Deadline for application for the funds is 2 November 2020.
