A Lunch between the Oldest Monarchies in the World

On March 28th, Their Royal Highnesses the Crown Prince Couple of Denmark will meet for lunch with Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress of Japan at the Imperial Palace. 

On Saturday the 28th of March, the T.R.H. Danish Crown Prince Couple will visit the Imperial Palace to meet with T.I.M. the Emperor and Empress of Japan for lunch. 

The Danish and Japanese monarchies not only share a special bond, they are also the two oldest monarchies in the world. The Danish monarchy dates back more than 1000 years giving it the title as the oldest monarchy in Europe, while the Japanese monarchy is the oldest in the world dating back to 660 BC. 

H.R.H. the Crown Prince of Denmark most recently visited Japan in 2011, when he visited he town Higashi-Matsushima shortly after the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami. During the visit the Crown Prince handed over donations from Danish companies and showed sympathy with the people of the devastated areas.  The visit demonstrated the close ties between our two nations. 

T.R.H. the Danish Crown Prince Couple will visit Tokyo from March 26th to March 28th, where they will attend several events as part of a large Greenland promotion in Japan.
