Legalisation of Danish documents

To get a document legalised you have to pay for an Apostille in our webshop. The fee for one Apostille is DKK 200.

You can find the webshop here.

When you have made a purchase, you can either:

  1. Show up at our office during business hours with the original documents signed by the relevant authority. Remember to bring the receipt for the purchase. The document will be legalised while you wait.
  2. Send us the original document signed by the relevant authority by post. Remember to enclose the receipt for the purchase and the return postage. The processing time for documents received by post is 3-5 business days, counting from the day we receive the document. We can then send the document back to you or you can choose to pick it up during our opening hours.
Please note:
In order to legalise an original physical document it has to be signed by an official Danish authority with a physical and manual signature. Please note that we do not accept a scan or copy of the signature.

Digital signatures

A document received digitally does not necessarily contain a digital signature. Upon request, criminal records and documents issued by the Danish Business Authority or the Ministry of Ecclesiastical Affairs can be issued with a digital signature.

You can check if a document contains a digital signature by opening the document as a PDF-file. If a blue ribbon appears in the top of the document, it contains a digital signature. In such case, you can upload it from your e-Boks to our webshop.

On these pages, you can find information regarding legalisation of Danish documents and foreign documents.

The fee for an Apostille/legalisation is DKK 200 per document.
