The department is responsible for the embassy's media relations and for disseminating information about Denmark across various media platforms, including social media such as Facebook, X, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Promoting awareness of Danish culture and strengthening the historical bond between Denmark and Estonia constitutes central aspects of the embassy's work in Public Diplomacy and cultural engagements. As an example of this work, the embassy collaborates with Danish and Nordic artists in connection with exhibitions or performances in Estonia.
The embassy also collaborates with the Danish Cultural Institute in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, which is headquartered in Riga. Planning of cultural activities in Estonia is done in cooperation with governmental organizations in both Denmark and Estonia, cultural institutions, and independent producers.
Additionally, the embassy collaborates with other Nordic countries and the Nordic Council of Ministers in the field of culture, including organizing various joint events.
