The Danish Ambassador presented his credentials to the President of Estonia

The Danish Ambassador to Estonia, Kim Højlund Christensen, presented the Letters of Credence to the President of the Republic of Estonia on 11 August 2026.

The new Danish Ambassador to Estonia, Kim Højlund Christensen, presented the Letters of Credence from His Majesty the King of Denmark to the President of the Republic of Estonia, Alar Karis on 11 August 2026. 

After the ceremony the President and Ambassador discussed the security in the region, supporting Ukraine and cooperation between the Nordic and Baltic countries. They also talked about opportunities in strengthening defence and economic cooperation and developing joint initiatives in the digital, cybersecurity and innovation areas. The President acknowledged Denmark’s contribution to the defence of NATO’s eastern flank.

Ambassador Kim Højlund Christensen looks forward to building on the strong foundation of friendship and cooperation that defines the close relations between Denmark and Estonia.
