Advance voting abroad for the municipal elections in the Faroe Islands

On Tuesday 12 November 2024, the municipal elections will take place in the Faroe Islands. Faroese voters abroad can vote at any Danish representation from 12 July 2024. 

Who can vote?

It is possible to vote abroad according to the same rules that apply to elections to the Faroese Parliament. 

How to vote in Georgia and Armenia?

You can cast your vote at any Danish embassy or consulate in the country where you are staying. In Georgia, you can cast your vote at the Danish Embassy in Tbilisi by appointment with [email protected]. In Armenia, you can vote by appointment with [email protected]. Remember to bring valid identification (passport, driver's license, etc.)

If you vote abroad, you must do so in time for the vote to arrive at your municipality in the Faroe Islands before election day on 12 November 2024. We advise you to cast your vote no later than the 21st of October 2024. It is possible to vote after this date, but it cannot be guaranteed that these votes will reach the Faroe Islands in time.
