Ambassador's greeting

I am pleased to welcome you to the website of the Danish embassy in Accra.

In my view Ghana is an amazing country. Natural beauty, cultural richness and incredible people. Ghana is also a rapidly developing country. Trust me, so many interesting things are happening here.

Since the establishment of our diplomatic relations following Ghana’s independence in 1957, our two countries have enjoyed a very close friendship and cooperation.

We build on decades of successful development and sector cooperation. Our partnership focuses on climate action, green solutions and sustainability – always with a view to expand business links between our countries.

The main task of our embassy these years is to further strengthen our partnerships with both public and the private players.

The Embassy, of which the Trade Council is an integrated part, seeks to promote the trade relations between the two countries by helping Danish companies who want to invest in Ghana. In addition, we run Strategic Sector Cooperation within water, statistics, maritime, health and meteorology. They all emphasise knowledge exchange between key agencies and authorities from both countries.

On our website you find information about the above mentioned activities. You will also find pages concerning travel and residence in both Denmark and Ghana, as well as country facts and information about Ghana.

To stay updated, we suggest you follow us on FacebookTwitterLinkedIn Danish Embassy Accra and LinkedIn (Trade Council, Sub Saharan Africa).

We hope you find the website helpful.
