Strategic Sector Cooperation (SSC)

The SSC aims at mobilizing the competencies of Danish public authorities that are in direct long-term strategic cooperation with counterpart authorities in development and growth economies to the mutual benefit of all parties involved.



Since the first SSC programs started back in 2015, Danish authorities have worked with public and private sectors around the world to develop greener economies, strengthen urban planning, develop sustainable agricultural practices, produce safer food, improve health systems, and so much more. In Ghana, Danish and Ghanaian authorities have established Strategic Sector Cooperation that aim to improve water supply and wastewater management in the municipality of Tema, create a more effective maritime sector in Ghana and improve decision making through the increased use of administrative data in the production of official statistics in Ghana.
