New Action Plan for Economic Diplomacy

The Danish Government has announced a new foreign and security policy strategy with an ambitious action plan for economic diplomacy 2022-2023.

The aim of the action plan is to create and share value, both in the world and in Denmark, while ensuring sustainable globalisation that benefits everyone.

To this effect, there are a number of key values and overall initiatives to highlight:

  • Fair and sustainable economic development
  • Strong public-private sector cooperation in order to develop futureproof green solutions
  • Promotion and export of these green solutions
  • Making sure that the EU and World Trade Organisation are enabled to put open, fair, and sustainable trade in the spotlight

Through the action plan, Danish export initiatives have been given a significant boost, while sector cooperation have been deepened and expanded as well. This means greater insight into export opportunities for Danish companies, and better facilitation of expansion activities.
