Last week the Danish Embassy in Vilnius presented the book: “Denmark and Lithuania through 100 years of bilateral relations – from neighbours to allies”. The book is edited by Niels Bo Poulsen, Royal Danish Defence College and Hans Brask, Ambassador of Denmark to Lithuania. The book is also available in an online version that you can read here.
The book presentation was made at the Anniversary Conference which took place during the visit to Lithuania of HRH the Crown Princess Mary of Denmark. In her opening speech the Crown Princess mentioned that "The book brings together different perspectives (albeit the perspective being mainly Danish) from all spheres of life - cultural, commercial, military and political, ensuring a more comprehensive understanding of our common history and the contributions made in creating that history. King Christian X made an important contribution, as did many others. These stories deserve to be told, and this anniversary book gives them new life”.
