The 9 companies presented innovations for improving energy efficiency, reducing losses, integrating renewable energy sources, and digitalizing heating infrastructure.
Opening the event in Chișinău, Ambassador Jensen highlighted Denmark’s own transition towards clean, affordable, and resilient energy systems. Based on this, Danish companies were ready to cooperate with Moldova to establish a modern, efficient district heating system, that can reduce reliance on imported fuels and provide cheaper energy to consumers.
The Danish companies visited Termoelectrica S.A. to see first-hand how the company operates and provides heating for thousands of households in Chişinău. The delegation heard a briefing from CET-Nord about plans to develop the district heating system in Bălți.
The event was the first District Heating Forum held in Moldova and was co-organized by Danish Board of District Heating, COGEN Professional Association and Embassy of Denmark in Moldova and Embassy of Denmark in Romania. Thanks to Minister Dorin Junghietu for his participation.
