How do you make an art performance last more than 250 hours?
The Danish art collective SIGNA knows.
Founders Signa & Arthur Köstler visited Gallery Buncăr in Chişinău to talk about their storytelling-world. Since 2001, they have made performances lasting from 6 to 250 hours.
Whether it is recreating a village inside of a warehouse or a homeless shelter in Germany, their installations are massive and thought provoking.
The talk served as an opportunity for Danish and Moldovan art and acting scenes to exchange experiences and inspiration.
The event was funded by Denmark and organised by Dansk Kulturinstitut / Danish Cultural Institute.
As Ambassador Jensen said in his speech: “Art and culture is crucial for fostering social cohesion, as well as necessary societal challenges”.
