Women represent 22% of the army, but only 2% in leadership roles. It is one of Moldova’s national priorities to increase this number.
Denmark supports this. Recently, women from Asociaţia Femeilor din Armata Naţională joined a training to boost their leadership skills.
The training is part of Denmark’s support to increase gender equality and women’s rights in Moldova which is implemented by UN Women Moldova.
