Denmark invited Moldovan energy professionals and their counterparts from the region to Copenhagen to learn how its advanced power grid works.
The programme included a visit to CopenHill waste-to-energy plant, which supplies tens of thousands of homes with electricity and heating, as well as meetings with Powerlab Denmark, Danmarks Tekniske Universitet - DTU and State of Green.
In addition to providing the people of Copenhagen with energy, the CopenHill facility offers skiing opportunities all year round.
The visit offered useful insights for Moldova’s energy sector on grid management, smart technologies, and integration of renewable energy.
