The Danish Embassy in Madrid is looking for a committed and analytically strong academic employee. You will become a part of the Policy- and Public Diplomacy (PD) team. You will work closely together with the embassy's management and will be responsible for a number of tasks both in relation to policy (EU sector areas and Spanish domestic policy - approx. 75%) as well as communication and Public Diplomacy (approx. 25%). You will independently represent Denmark at certain meetings in Spanish ministries and think tanks.
The embassy places great importance on openness, cooperation and well-being while offering a dynamic workplace with independent responsibility and varied tasks. The position gives you the opportunity to strengthen your insight and knowledge about the EU, from a capital city that has become increasingly important in European policy after Brexit. In addition, you will gain a unique insight into Spanish politics in the wake of the general election on 23 July 2023.

Terms of employment
This is a two-year full-time position with the possibility of extension. Working hours are 37 hours per week. Salary and employment conditions will be in accordance with qualifications or otherwise follow the conditions as a local employee at the embassy in Madrid. The employment is subject to security clearance from the Danish authorities. Start date is no later than 1 November 2023, or as soon as security clearance is granted.
