Market relations between Denmark and the United Kingdom (the UK) are governed by the Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA) between the EU and the UK.

Key points to be aware of compared to trading with an EU-country are:

• All products must go through customs clearance, even where the products are tariff free.
• You will need an Economic Operators Registration and Identification number (EORI number) to be able to export to the UK.
• Non-UK staff working in the UK must apply for a UK visa – but you can still travel to the UK for business to attend meetings, events and conferences etc. without a visa. However, you will need to apply for an electronic travel authorisation (ETA) before travelling. It is advisable to apply on the official government website: https://www.gov.uk/eta/apply.
• To bring tools or equipment temporarily to the UK, you will need an ATA-Carnet – this is also relevant for exhibition furniture and similar.
