Security Coordination and Liaison Officer – Security Unit

 

The Security Unit of the Embassy of Denmark is seeking an experienced, service-oriented, and motivated professional to serve as Security Coordination and Liaison Officer. The role supports the planning and coordination of security arrangements for Embassy operations, official visits, and delegations.

The successful candidate will serve as a key liaison with host nation security authorities, internal Embassy sections, and the Security Unit, ensuring effective coordination of risk mitigation measures and operational support. The role also includes maintaining security records and databases, preparing reports, and providing support for crisis or incident coordination as required.

Requirements

Applicants should hold a higher education qualification, preferably in international relations, security studies, logistics, or law enforcement, and have relevant experience in security or logistics operations. Experience working in structured security environments would be considered an advantage.

A sound understanding of security procedures, risk awareness, and crisis management is important. Good written and spoken English skills are highly desirable. Familiarity with administrative systems, database management, and secure communication tools is also expected.

Professional Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years’ relevant work in a public or private sector organisation
  • High level of accuracy, reliability, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proven discretion and ability to handle confidential information
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in English and Ukrainian, both written and spoken
  • Knowledge of basic first aid and emergency response procedures are an asset

Applicants must be eligible to work in Ukraine. The ideal candidate is results-oriented, exercises sound judgement, demonstrates professionalism, discretion, and reliability. They communicate effectively, collaborate well with others, show initiative and attention to detail. The ability to adapt and operate efficiently in an international environment is essential.
