DANISH PRIME MINISTER VISITED KYIV
“Our support is not measured in months. It is measured in this simple promise: for as long as it takes,” said Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen during her visit to Kyiv on 23 of August.
The Prime Minister visited Kyiv on the occasion of the Ukraine-NB8 Summit on Ukraine’s National Flag Day and ahead of the 35th anniversary of the restoration of Ukraine’s independence. She took part in the official flag-raising ceremony together with Ukrainian leadership, and Nordic Baltic Heads of States.
Prime Minister Frederiksen also held bilateral meetings with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Sergii Koretskyi.
Together with President Zelenskyy and the Heads of State and Government of the Nordic-Baltic Eight (NB8): Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, and Norway, Prime Minister Frederiksen took part in the Ukraine–NB8 Summit.

In the Joint Declaration adopted following the Summit, the leaders of Ukraine and the Nordic-Baltic States reaffirmed their unwavering solidarity with the Ukrainian people and their steadfast support for Ukraine’s independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognised borders. The NB8 will continue to provide Ukraine with political, military, financial, development cooperation, humanitarian and economic support.
