Job creation and inclusive sustainable growth is a prioritized area within Danish development cooperation. Higher employment and better jobs provide opportunities for higher incomes, which in turn provide opportunities for better education and health - and thus a better life.
In 2020, a White Paper on Skills Development and Job Creation was launched (se also press release). You can watch the streaming of the event here (in Danish).
In 2021, a catalogue of recommendations written by a taskforce from the Ministry was published. It contains concrete recommendations for improved education, vocational training, upskilling and employment for Africa's youth. Download the catalogue here.
