It is a true privilege and a great honour for me to reopen the Royal Danish Embassy in Albania effective from early November 2026. The relations between Denmark and Albania are close and very good. The reopening of a Danish Embassy in Tirana will be a welcome opportunity to deepen them even further. It will also contribute to strengthening Denmark’s presence in the Western Balkans.
We are living in highly challenging times and it is important that we further enhance cooperation with our European partners and friends. As members of NATO, Denmark and Albania work together on issues that are of great importance to both our countries and to Europe as a whole.
Denmark wholeheartedly supports Albania’s ambition to become a member of the European Union. We believe that the necessary reform processes will strengthen the rule of law in Albania and promote stable institutions, democracy and an attractive investment climate. This will also increase business opportunities for Danish companies in Albania, contributing to growth and job creation locally.
The Embassy will aim to foster stronger Danish-Albanian ties by seeking opportunities and supporting efforts and initiatives within politics, diplomacy, business, green transition, culture and people-to-people contacts that can benefit both Danes and Albanians.
On our website you will find further information about the Embassy.
Shqiptarëve: Faleminderit për mikpritjen e ngrohtë. Presim me padurim të thellojmë miqësinë dhe bashkëpunimin tonë me ju.
