Review of project proposals submitted to Green Climate Fund (GCF), the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and the Least Developed Countries Fund (LDCF)

Description: 
The Department for Green Diplomacy and Climate (GDK) is seeking a consultancy firm to support the strategic objective of ensuring a stronger Danish engagement on the board/council of the GCF, GEF and LDCF and especially in terms of closer review of project/funding proposals, leading to strategic influence on the development and approval of projects. The specific objectives of the consultancy will be to support due diligence in the process of reviewing funding proposal as well as a lead to lessons learned and increased understanding of the portfolios of the three funds especially around elements considered a priority in the Danish organisation strategies for GEF/LDCF and GCF and in relevant Danish bilateral programmes.
 
The input will consist of two highly experienced international consultants for app. 75 hours per board/council meeting during the period of January 2023 – January 2025. A total number of 24 funding proposals to GCF and 30 project proposal to the GEF/LDCF will be reviewed during six GCF Board meetings and four GEF Council meetings.
