Access to Water in Africa - a review to frame future development assistance for access to water in Africa
Accelerating impacts of climate change and reduced access to water is a challenge globally, but with distinctive effects in developing countries – including in Africa. On this background the new Danish development policy has placed renewed emphasis on increasing access to water in Africa. This review provides an overview of major lessons learned from Danish development assistance to providing access to water in Africa and the author sets forward a number of criteria and recommendations for future Danish support to this area.
