Evaluation of the danish support to civil society
The evaluation is based on a thematic evaluation approach, in which different themes are explored, rather than attempting to cover every aspect of Danish support to civil society. Its scope is limited to support channeled through Danish civil society organisations in the period 2017-2021 corresponding to a little less than half of the total Danish support to civil society. The evaluation focused on the following three thematic areas: 1) Public Engagement in Denmark; 2) Strengthening civil society in the Global South; 3) Humanitarian-Development-Peace Nexus. The utilization-focused approach meant that a number of recommendations were followed up on during the evaluation process.
