Denmark and Ghana have decided to engage in a Strategic Sector Cooperation (SSC) within the thematic areas of Climate and Meteorology.
On of the main goals is to strengthen Ghana's capacity to provide authoritative climate projections and information for purposes of climate change adaptation. Another is to strengthen the cooperation within the national early warning system, an important first step for climate change adaptation.
This SSC is between the Danish Meteorological Institute and Ghana Meteorological Agency. The first phase was commenced in 2024 and is expected to run until 2027.
