Only apply for a Danish Schengen visa if you genuinely plan to travel to Denmark
If you travel to another Schengen country on a Schengen visa issued by Denmark without having already visited or plan to visit Denmark, you may be suspected of ‘visa-shopping’*. This can lead to denied entry at the border and your visa may be revoked. It may also lead to an entry ban and negatively impact any future Schengen visa applications.
* Applying for a Schengen visa where it’s expected to be approved faster, rather than in the Schengen country you intend to visit.
The Embassy’s average visa processing time is 15 days when all required documentation has been provided as per the relevant checklist. All applicants for a Schengen visa for Denmark must book an appointment with VFS Global to submit their application.
The case processing time is calculated from the day the Embassy register the application in the visa system, not from the time you apply online or submit the application at a VFS Global centre.
The Embassy recommends that you do not buy plane tickets or accommodation before you know if your visa has been approved
