Residence Permit Applications at VFS
For residence permits, please fill in your application and pay the application fee online using https://dys.um.dk/permit/.
After you have applied and paid the fee online, you must print the receipt for purchase and hand it in together with the relevant supporting documents and supply biometrics at the Visa Application Centre https://www.vfsglobal.com/Denmark/Lebanon/
Please note that in R/W permit cases there are three fees to be paid. 1) The fee to either The Danish Immigration Service or The Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI), 2) the fee to the Danish embassy (using the link https://dys.um.dk/permit/) and 3) the fee to the Danish Visa Application Centre (VFS).
It is essential to submit the following documents to VFS.
- Completed application form
- Scanned copy of the passport (all pages)
- Case order ID
- Applicant’s contact information (phone and email)
Issuance of stickers at the Embassy in cases of Residence Permits approved by DIS with no prior involvement of the Embassy
In the case where a family reunification has been approved by the Danish Immigration Service, the Embassy in Beirut will be requested to issue the long stay sticker to the applicant. However, it may take 2-3 weeks before the Embassy receives the instruction.
In such cases, the family member already residing in Denmark should book an appointment with the Embassy on behalf of the applicant or the applicant can do so him/herself. No third part can make the appointment on behalf of the applicant or make any enquiries concerning the case.
The following documents must be sent to the Embassy. Please note, if you chose to send the missing documentation by e-mail to [email protected] it will be via an unencrypted connection.
Before the appointment:
- Copy of the decision granted by the Danish Immigration Service to the host showing the grounds of his stay in Denmark,
- Coloured copies of the first pages of the applicant’s passport that contain the passport number, photo and validity. Pdf. Copies sent via WhatsApp are not accepted,
- A contact number of the applicant and his/ her current address.
In the case where the applicant is Syrian national or Palestinian from Syria, the Embassy will issue the applicant a letter confirming the date of the given appointment. This letter is sent to the family member already residing in Denmark by email. The letter is to be used by the applicant to cross the Lebanese borders.

On the day of the appointment:
The applicant has to appear in person at the Embassy and to bring the following documents:
- Passport: In the case where the applicant does not have a passport, a personal ID and an individual extract of registration containing a recent photo of the applicant is requested. The requirement is obligatory for the children under 15 years old.
- Two recent photos which meet the following requirements click here
- Print out of the payment receipt
If the applicant fails to bring the above-mentioned documents, it may not be possible to process the case during the appointment.
Embassy Remark:
Applicants resident in Syria who were granted residence permit in Denmark are requested to book an appointment to collect their D sticker visa at the Embassy via the following email address [email protected]
Online bookings for this kind of appointments are on hold for the time being.
Kindly note that if you were granted a Laissez-Passer by the Danish authorities, the exit procedure from Lebanon can take more than one week; which is why we recommend you to wait on booking your flight ticket until your exit procedure is settled.
