Poland – a
solid “rock” between east and west
Poland’s economy has been
the best performing economy in Europe since Poland become an official member of
the EU in 2004.
The impressive economic
journey has been strongly supported by Denmark and our engagement and
investments in Poland. Today more than 750 Danish companies have established
themselves in Poland and created more than 100.000 direct jobs. More than 8,7
billion EUR were invested by Danish companies in Poland in 2024 alone.
Today Denmark’s export to
Poland has also skyrocketed. Denmark’s exports to Poland amounted to
approximately 7.4 billion EUR in 2023. With the economic growth and
strengthening trade relations Poland has become Denmark 10th largest
export market and 3rd largest market globally when it comes to
creation of direct local jobs.
And opportunities continue
to be significant for Danish-Polish trade relations. This is true both in terms
of export, subcontracting and outsourcing, as well as for seeing Poland as a
base for trade with the rest of Central and Eastern Europe and not least for supporting
and rebuilding Ukraine.
Qualified assistance
Despite noteworthy growth rates
and significant market opportunities, the Polish market is also characterized
by strong competition, cultural differences and sometimes language barriers.
This means that success in Poland can depend on developing local contacts,
building local knowledge and finding the right partners.
The Economic Diplomacy and
Trade Team is ready to help. We have around 20 highly motivated professionals
with strong local market knowledge combined with significant political insight.
Our mission in life is
simple: In any way possible we want to help Danish companies in Poland succeed
and increase trade relations between our countries.
Our main focus areas are
energy, defence, water and life science. Sincerely,
