The processing time in visa cases is 15 days, when all required documentation has been provided.

In cases where the processing requires further enquiries or submission to the Danish Immigration Service, the maximum processing time is 45 days.

From Friday the 20 of March 2026, third-country nationals who live in a Schengen country, and hold a valid residence and work permit issued by a Schengen country, no longer need a visa to travel to Greenland and the Faroe Islands.
