Passports

• First time passport for Children

  1.  Passport application form
  2.  Declaration of consent by both parents- It is on page 2 of application form, please sign at the mission. 
  3. Parents’ passports or photo ID with signature
  4. Original birth certificate- Both parents’ names must appear on the certificate. If it is issued in Taiwan, the birth certificate should be authenticated by BOCA.
  5.  Photos can also be taken using the biometric machine here, or you may bring a photo which meets the passport photo requirement.

• Passport Renewal for Adult (over 18 years)

  1. Passport application form- completed and signed
  2. Your current passport
  3. Original documentation of your name change if you have changed your name after the issuance of your current passport. The name change has to be reflected in the CPR register before the passport can be issued.

• Passports Renewal for Children (under 18 years)

  1.  Passport application form
  2.  Declaration of consent by both parents- It is on page 2 of application form, please sign at the mission. 
  3. Your child’s current passport.
  4. Parents’ passports or photo ID with signature
  5. Original birth certificate- both parents’ names must appear on the certificate. If it is issued in Taiwan, the birth certificate should be authenticated by BOCA.
  6.  Photos can also be taken using the biometric machine here, or you may bring a photo which meets the passport photo requirement.

• Emergency passport

  If you lose your passport in Taiwan, you need to notify the local police station as soon as possible in order to get a police report. There is going to be an increased fee when you could not present your current passport.

  1. A police report of passport lost.
  2. Passport application form.
  3. Declaration of lost passport (Erklæring om bortkommet pas)​.​
  4.  Picture identification– this could be a driving license or a previous made copy of the lost passport

  Please check before coming to the Danish Mission whether the country you are travelling to or from accepts emergency/provisional passports, as not all countries accept a provisional passport. It is up to you to find out the entry/exit requirements for the travel destination. You can find a guide to this information on the homepage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (in Danish only).

• Passport Extension

  1. Passport application form
  2. Current passport
  3. (for children's application) Declaration of consent by both parents.
  4. (for children's application) Parents’ passports or photo ID with signature

  Please check before coming to the Danish Mission whether the country you wish to travel to accepts an extension of the passport validity and how many months they require the travel document to be valid for from the day of entry. You can find a guide to this information on the homepage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (in Danish only).

• Extra Passport (Second Passport)

  Two steps for applying an extra passport.

  • Step one: Submit your application in person

  1. 1. Passport application form
     2. A written statement explaining the reasons for applying an extra passport and/or a declaration from your employer stating that you need to travel because of your position.  
     3. Your current regular 10y passport
     4. Your current extra 2y passport (if any)

  The application will be forwarded to the Police Administration Centre (PAC) . Once we receive approval from PAC, we will contact you to proceed.

   

  • Step two: Obtain your biometric data in the mission

  1. 1. Your current passport- 10y passport and 2y extra passport (if any)

   

• Norwegian Passport

  Norwegian citizens can apply for emergency passports and in some cases personal number for newborns at the Trade Council of Denmark, Taipei, after contacting the Norwegian Embassy in Singapore. Ordinary passport applications need to be processed by a Norwegian foreign mission or the police in Norway. Please contact the Norwegian Embassy in Singapore for more information.
