The challenges in the intersection of tech, democracy and human rights are many. Issues that were once limited to the physical world are exacerbated in the digital space, blurring the lines between the two. Digitally driven acts of violence like gender-based online harassment and abuse are increasingly prevalent, underscoring the urgent need for action. With the Tech for Democracy initiative, Denmark set out to listen, to learn, and to lead on these challenges.  

• Strategic Partnerships for Action: Established a series of multi-sector strategic partnerships in the form of Action Coalitions, targeting a broad spectrum of issues at the intersection of technology, democracy, and human rights. At the heart of these Action Coalitions lies a strong belief in a collaborative action-oriented approach. The Coalitions are not policy forums, but partnerships that come together to deliver concrete solutions to some of the biggest challenges of our time. 
  
  We believe strongly in what has been achieved so far with the current set of Action Coalitions, supporting civic engagement in AI design, information integrity in elections, and much more. Yet, a notable omission from the current list of established Action Coalitions is one specifically focused on monitoring potential genocide. In this critical space, we have not yet had the impact that was envisioned. We remain committed to expanding our scope and intensifying our efforts to cover this and other critical issues.
