While the technological age has provided new tools to strengthen development and inclusivity, it has also brought with it new challenges that threaten to undermine democratic institutions and human rights globally. Wielding internet shutdowns and surveillance as their instruments of choice, authoritarian forces are limiting freedom and expression and access to information in the places they are needed the most. Consequently, strengthening the digital resilience of repressed democratic voices around the globe is essential. 

• Action Coalition: Played a central role in establishing and guiding the Action Coalition on Information Integrity in Elections, which seeks to understand and improve the role of technology in elections.
  
  
• UNDP Collaboration: Worked in close partnership with the United Nations Development Programme to mitigate the digital divide’s impact in the Global South, advocating for the democratization of digital spaces and ensuring equitable access to technology. • Tech for Democracy: In 2021, launched the flagship initiative Tech for Democracy¸ gathering more than 120 influential voices from the Global Majority and worldwide, aiming to fortify democracy values and human rights in the digital era.
  
  
• The Copenhagen Pledge: Spearheaded the Copenhagen Pledge on Tech for Democracy, rallying extensive support for a digital future anchored in democratic values and human rights. Serving as a framework for responsible technological use and development - as well as a common vision for our shared digital future - the pledge emphasizes the joint responsibility of governments, tech companies, civil society and multilateral organizations alike.
