Innovation Advisors: Critical and emerging technologies

One of our new colleagues is expected to contribute to the effort specifically on defence technologies. As part of the job, the Innovation Advisor will be looking for opportunities to facilitate cooperation based on European funding programmes. The Innovation Advisor will be working closely with relevant colleagues at the Royal Danish Embassy in Berlin. 

The second new colleague will be focusing on space technologies, a rapidly evolving area in which we have developed cooperation for start-ups and researchers in the last couple of years. The advisor will also develop new business ideas together with the team.  

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Build an understanding of the Danish and German technology innovation ecosystem and its stakeholders, including within defence and space technology.
• Identify opportunities for innovation and research collaboration between German and Danish partners.
• Research, develop, and present German market entry strategies and market intelligence to Danish companies.
• Organise and execute events, workshops, and delegations to and from Denmark.
• Identify innovators in Germany within both research and industry.
• Expand our local network in Germany and engage in discussions on potential Danish-German collaboration.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree.
• Strategic, commercial and innovative mind set.
• An ability to work independently as well as in teams.
• Self-driven, good interpersonal skills and a result-oriented approach.
• Flair for communication and a talent for building and developing lasting relations.
• Fluency in English. Knowledge of German and/or a Nordic language (written and spoken) is an advantage.
• Good understanding of technology trends and the German innovation ecosystem is an advantage.
• Network within the German tech industry and 3-5 years relevant working experience within consulting or business development is an advantage.
• Knowledge of European funding programmes is an advantage. 

• We offer a two-year contract with the possibility of extension.
• Standard working hours are 37 hours per week including a 30-minute lunch break.
• You will be entitled to 25 days of paid vacation per year.
• Your salary will reflect your qualifications and relevant experience.
• The employment is subject to a security check by the Danish authorities.
