Civil Protection Coordination and Admin Officer

The Embassy of Denmark is seeking an experienced, service-oriented, and motivated professional to serve as Civil Protection Coordination and Admin Officer. The position supports the planning, coordination, and implementation of civil protection and emergency preparedness measures related to Embassy operations, official visits, and crisis response activities but also administrative tasks within our defence section.
The successful candidate will act as a key liaison between Ukrainian civil protection authorities, emergency services, local administrations, and relevant Embassy sections. The role includes supporting contingency planning, coordination of emergency response measures, monitoring of civil security developments, and ensuring effective communication during incidents or crises. The position also involves maintaining operational records, preparing reports, contributing to resilience and preparedness initiatives and various administrative tasks.


Requirements

Applicants should hold a higher education qualification, preferably in civil protection, emergency management, security studies, public administration, logistics, or a related field. Relevant experience within emergency services, civil protection authorities, crisis management, humanitarian response, or operational coordination is highly desirable.
A sound understanding of emergency preparedness, crisis coordination, and risk mitigation is important. Experience working in operational or high-pressure environments will be considered an advantage. Good written and spoken English skills are highly desirable, alongside proficiency in Ukrainian.

Professional Qualifications


•    Solid understanding of civil protection, emergency preparedness, and crisis coordination procedures
•    Minimum of three years of relevant professional experience in civil protection, emergency management, public administration, logistics, humanitarian assistance, or a related field
•    Experience coordinating with public authorities, emergency services, international organisations, or humanitarian actors is considered an advantage
•    High level of accuracy, reliability, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic environment
•    Experience with coordination of donations, humanitarian assistance, or logistics operations is an advantage
•    Proficiency in English and Ukrainian, both written and spoken

They communicate effectively, collaborate well with others, show initiative and attention to detail. The ability to adapt and operate efficiently in an international environment is essential.
