INTERNSHIP AT THE EMBASSY

The Embassy of Denmark to Ukraine is now hiring a high school student our team as an intern. You will assist colleagues primarily within sectoral cooperation department in activities with Danish and Ukrainian authorities and companies, as well as international partners and organisations. If you have a high interest in developing your administrative and communication skills, and gain insights into international cooperation, this may be the position for you.

 

You will be working at the Embassy of Denmark in Kyiv. We offer a friendly and respectful working environment with good opportunities for professional development.

The intern position is scheduled for 20 hours a week, with flexibility for fitting the scheme of actual studies. You will have reference to the Counsellor for food and agriculture in coordination matters for the job.

 

Your tasks and responsibilities will include:

 

·         Provision of competent and timely assistance to the general professional administration of the Strategic Sector Cooperation projects within the area of  food and agriculture, Energy, Health and Water and Environment.

·         Development, maintenance and support to the collaborative relationships with Ukrainian and Danish sector authorities as well as international partners.

·         Set up, participate in and translate meetings with Ukrainian companies, organisations and authorities within sectors.

·         Help arrange and participate in project site visits in different parts of Ukraine.

·         Participate in meetings with stakeholders, contribution to translation and writing of minutes.

·         Assistance with organisation of the Sector Counsellors and other team members’ work, travel arrangements, meetings, visits of Danish delegations etc.

·         IT and Embassy website support.

·         Media collection and analysis of food and agriculture related matters.

·         Assistance to the other Embassy administrative tasks.

·         Other tasks may be assigned in dialogue with management and depending on qualifications of the successful candidate.

 

Professional qualifications:

 

·         integrity and sound judgment in consequential decisions.

·         Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.

·         Ability to interact with people of different backgrounds in a polite and friendly manner.

·         If you have experience from the food and agriculture sector this would be preferred. Flexibility and ability to cooperate within and outside of one’s team.

·         Strong English and Ukrainian, spoken and written language, including translation skills. Knowledge of Danish will be an advantage.

·         Working experience from a government body, an international organisation, a consultancy firm or an embassy, preferably within fields related to sectors is an advantage.

This position is covered with a salary.

Starting Date

August 1st 2026 or soonest hereafter. Employment requires security clearance from the Danish authorities. The applicant should be eligible for working in Ukraine, i.e. be a Ukrainian national or have a valid Ukrainian work permit. Intern position can maximum be for one year.
