Requirements for migration from NemID to MitID

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, Protocol Department, presents its compliments to all Heads of Diplomatic Missions and Consulates accredited to and resident in Denmark and to International Organisations and Other Missions resident in Copenhagen and Honorary Consulates in Denmark and has the honour to refer to the attached Circular Note of 5 April 2022. 

DEADLINE POSTPONED
NemID is in the process of being phased out gradually 
   and will be fully substituted by MitID as of 31 October 2022


Please note that present NemID users still need to apply for MitID within 30 days from receiving a message either via e-Boks or in their mobile bank. 

For further guidance on how to obtain your MitID, please refer to Circular Note of 5 April 2022, attached. 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, Protocol Department, takes this opportunity to renew to all Heads of Diplomatic Missions and Consulates accredited to and resident in Denmark and to International Organisations and Other Missions resident in Copenhagen and Honorary Consulates in Denmark the assurances of its highest consideration.
