Calls for Proposals

This page contains announcements of open Calls for Proposals (CfPs) for grants under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark (MFA), for which organisations may apply if they fulfil the specific requirements and criteria given by a CfP.

Calls for Proposals (CfPs) allow organisations to propose projects that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark (MFA) may finance through grants. This is a way to ensure equal treatment and access to all organisations that may provide solutions for the achievement of the MFA’s goals and objectives, as well as transparency in the process of awarding grants. All MFA grants that are initiated as open CfPs should be published on this page.

In the list below, active and expired CfPs may be found. If considering to apply in one of them, please make sure to read the announcement, the grant’s purpose, and the uploaded information note very carefully. Furthermore, take note of the deadlines, requirements and criteria found therein, since failure to comply or live up to them lead to rejected applications.

CfPs may follow a one- or two-step procedure. In the former, a full proposal, including the required attachments/annexes, are submitted once for evaluation. In the latter, concept notes need to be submitted in the first phase and evaluated, before the organisations behind a selection of concept notes are allowed to submit their full proposals.

In general, open Calls for Proposals will be published in English, but some may be limited to audiences in other languages (e.g., Danish or French), in which case the material may be written in the given language.
