Passport
If you lose your Danish passport, the Danish Embassy in Lisbon or one of the consulates can issue a Danish temporary/emergency passport.
Please note that the Danish emergency passport is a travel document valid for a limited period. There is no guarantee that this document will be recognised by foreign authorities in the same way as a standard passport. The Danish emergency passport is primarily intended to enable you to travel home.
Remember to go to your local police station to report your passport as stolen or lost – and remember to get a receipt from the police. The Embassy in Lisbon/the Consulate and your insurance company will need the police report.
General
We advise you to take extra care of your wallet or bag when sitting in a café and when travelling on public transport, particularly trams.
