The Trade Council

The Trade Council is the governmental export and investment promotion organisation under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. The organisation comprises all governmental activities designed to promote Danish export and foreign investment in Denmark under one roof.

The Trade Council has approximately 75 employees in Denmark and about 230 employees abroad located at more than 80 embassies, consulates general and trade commissions.

The Trade Council is in a position to offer substantial and unique benefits to both new and experienced export firms. The goal is to offer the Danish business community the opportunity to enter a close partnership, which will enhance the professional analysis of foreign markets and thereby increase the competitiveness of the companies

We carry out market research and identify potential local partners and relevant stakeholders. Subsequently, we can assist in arranging a visit program and related assistance.

Are you looking for new sourcing options?

We can prepare an analysis about the market potential in selected sectors, and we can identify qualified local manufacturers and other suppliers, and put together a meeting program for you.

Would you like a business meeting at the Embassy?

It is an option to rent out our Embassy facilities – and upon request, we can host events in the Ambassador's Residence.

Are you interested in networking?

We are pleased to inform you about our Danish Business Club in Hungary and the events that we host, where our members have the opportunity to meet major decision makers, think-thanks to discuss the relevant economic trends in the Hungarian market.

We also offer public affairs services to companies in the market to accommodate better their operations to the local market characteristics.

Do you have issues at government level?

Our Embassy has contacts at the highest level and can address the issues you face. Part of our Global Public Affairs activities is to facilitate your communication with the authorities, and provide information about funding opportunities, etc.
