New procedures for farewell audiences with HM The King
The Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Protocol Department, presents its compliments to all Heads of Diplomatic Mission accredited to and resident in Denmark.
The Protocol Department wishes to inform that farewell audiences with HM The King in the future will be set on specific dates about four times a year.
The two first available dates will be 4th September and 6th November 2024
Departing ambassadors are invited to request a farewell audience on one of the announced dates up to one week prior to the date.
In order to ensure that a farewell audience will take place on the requested date, the embassy should forward a Note Verbale informing of the date of the ambassador´s impending departure and wish for a farewell audience. The embassy is at the same time requested to inform of the date for the departing ambassador’s presentation of credentials, which language the ambassador would like the farewell audience to be conducted in - English, French or a Nordic language; name of spouse or partner and if the spouse or partner will attend the farewell audience. The Protocol will then revert with confirmation of the audience, the specific time of the day for the audience and the protocol procedure.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Protocol Department, avails itself of this opportunity to renew to all Heads of Diplomatic Mission accredited to and resident in Denmark the assurances of its highest consideration.
